For surely there can be no practical use for stilettos (except prerhaps as a lethal method of defence ina clinch. By the way, how’s the acupuncture turnig out?

Good for you for coming forward, I too have an auto immune disease after five years of shingles due to getting chicken pox with my kids…I researched it myself, their are 89 auto immune in total, all are hard to diagnose, but I found the cause, adrenal failure, Addison disease, which is life threatening, rare, and not even close to what doctors diagnosed me with.
If I hadn’t taken t into my own hands, I might not be here today. 9
Just had to check your in Nelson, I recommend Cindy Devilliers at Mapua Health Clinic…they are thorough, look at every medical test you have ever had, email you, yes they want to hear how your doing and they wll test your immune system against everything you digest and tell you exactly what you can’t eat…they do cost more but you will get a diagnosis…
Vitamin B 12 cannot be absorbed through food if your sick, because we stash 3 years supply at a time it can take 3 years for docs to notice..I also use topical iodine to help absorb sodium…GP’S will only treat the symptoms not the cause…trust your instinct, get a Giardia check too, Nelson water is not that great.

Hi Aimee, thanks for your messages. I’m actually seeing Dr Ewer at Mapua, he’s been helpful. He diagnosed a couple things, including my food allergies. I’m seeing him again September.
Loved the Tampon saga write up. The upside (this is the black humour that serves me well) to IBD type disease and weight loss I found when I hit 48 kg (start point was 65kg) after 3 months is your periods stop and tampons can stay on the shelf.
Wishing you a speedy way to some degree of normal, it took an awful lot longer for it to come back than I ever thought. I am there now and hope to stay there for a good while yet.
