A couple people tried to tell me today that if I didn’t like something, I don’t have to read it – and that “freedom of speech” gives you a Get Out Of Jail Free card if your words cause offence – or, you know, suicide.

  1. How are you supposed to know it’s going to be triggering bullshit if you haven’t read it???

Also, “freedom of speech” does not include the right to shout ‘fire’ in a crowded theatre, among other things. In New Zealand, it is in fact a specific crime to incite suicide.

Also, fuck those people. For fuck’s sake. “Waaaaaaaah stop making me feel like an asshole when I’m being an asshole!” Boo fucking hoo.
